The concept of sahaviryam, the strength of togetherness, has in its deepest sense permeated the life energy of the Shroff Family. With each day it brings forth new shades of meaning, renewed vigour for living, an inspiration for being... It is a call to awaken from our cocoon of separateness ... to bridge the them and us divide in our society.
It is the deep bond that unites three generations of our family, the ties of empathy that entwine the destinies of communities..a team spirit that lifts the workplace to heightened levels of collective hapiness.
As Helen Keller very simply said it, “Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much.”
Sometimes we see sahaviryam as the synergy mantra, the catalytic energy that unlocks our trapped potential and enables us to scale new heights of awarness, understanding and gratitude.
Other times sahaviryam makes us realise how interdependent we are as a community, a nation... as nations...as inhabitants of the earth.. And this is very true for the 21st century that is sitting on the edge of an ecological cataclysm such as climate change or is barely emerging from the worldwide reverberations of the crash in the US financial markets.
It is an understanding that as long as there is someone poor, we cannot be rich, even if we possess countless riches. If there is someone sick and unattended, we can never be healthy...if there is someone unlettered, we cannot be learned and wise. Unless everyone prospers, we cannot experience abundance.
Sahaviryam can be experienced by each of us... As I age I experience sahaviryam in my body itself. How amazing is the relationship of each and every part of our body to the whole... how wonderfully every small cell contributes to the changing needs of our body... With such a beautiful understanding, the heart and lung partnership has kept the whole body in a perfect healthy condition all the time..”
Sahaviryam is essential for the survival of the human race.
